Meet Dr. Reza Farshey
Dr. Reza Farshey received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1994 from McGill University. He then moved to Boston to study dentistry and received his dental degree from Tufts University in 1998. After completing a one-year general practice residency at Berkshire Medical Center, he went on to maintain a successful restorative practice for the next seven years. He was also active in academics as a clinical instructor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Tufts University during the same time. In 2005, Dr. Farshey ended his tenure as a general dentist to further pursue his interest in endodontics. He completed his endodontic specialty training at Boston University in 2007 and has been practicing in the Washington metropolitan area since.
Dr. Farshey is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the DC Dental Society. Dr. Farshey is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to professional growth and has reached the pinnacle of his profession. Currently, only 23% of eligible endodontists are board certified.
Dr. Farshey lectures nationally to dentists on topics relating to the field of endodontics and is a dental consultant to several dental manufacturers. He has been voted as one of Washington’s “Top Dentists” in a survey of his peers conducted by Washingtonian magazine and was voted among “America’s top dentists” in a similar national survey.
Dr. Farshey has authored two chapters in the textbook Current Therapy in Endodontics. He has also co-authored an article with his partner, Dr. Zia, for the journal Premium Practice Dentistry, entitled “Endodontic Diagnosis: The Third Dimension”.
Dr. Farshey and his wife reside in Bethesda.
